While their systems may be more expensive than the competition, ADT does have a 140-year history behind it. Also, when you choose ADT Health you don\u2019t have to worry about the price ever going up because you are locked into the rate when you enroll.<\/p>\n<p>ADT Health owns and operates all of its emergency call centers so you never have to worry about a third-party answering your call. A trained call center operator can call 911 for you or contact a loved one on your list when there is an emergency.<\/p>\n<h2>Equipment<\/h2>\n<p>A base station and medical alert button comes with all plans. If you choose a mobile medical alert plan rather than a home-based plan, the mobile base station is designed to go wherever you go. It fits in the palm of your hand and has an LED indicator light to show you when the battery is running low and how strong your signal is.<\/p>\n<p>You can also purchase a waterproof button ($14.99) that can be a lifesaver should you have an emergency when you\u2019re in the shower.<\/p>\n<h2>Cost<\/h2>\n<p>There are no long-term contracts. Simply choose a month-to-month plan or save money by paying quarterly or annually. A lifetime warranty is in place on all equipment so there is no worry about replacement costs. You can choose a plan that suits your needs.<\/p>\n<h3>On-the-Go<\/h3>\n<p>ADT\u2019s On-the-Go medical alert system costs $39.99 a month. If you\u2019re constantly going places and are not home that often, this may be the plan for you. This plan will give you an on-the-go emergency response device and a medical alarm pendant. The system is fully mobile as long as you are within 100 feet of the small response device. It will locate you through GPS.<\/p>\n<h3>Medical Alert Plus<\/h3>\n<p>ADT\u2019s Medical Alert Plus system costs $35.99 a month. This is an in-home system that uses cellular service so no landline is required. As long as you are within 600 feet of the base unit, your medical alert button will work. The base station can also monitor your home temperature.<\/p>\n<h3>Medical Alert Basic<\/h3>\n<p>ADT\u2019s Medical Alert Basic system costs $29.99 a month. This plan is intended for indoor use only as you need to be within 300 feet of the base unit. A landline is also necessary for this plan. The base unit will monitor the temperature in your home as well as give you two-way communication with the monitoring service.<\/p>\n<p>Fall detection is also available on all plans for an extra five dollars a month. This will immediately signal to the call center if you have an emergency.<\/p>\n<h2>Features<\/h2>\n<p>The ADT Health Medical Alert System has a number of features that make it very attractive. These include:<\/p>\n<h3>Portability<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re going to be away for a while, you can still take your at-home system with you. All you have to do is tell ADT that your home base will be different for an extended period of time. If you move, take the system with you and just notify ADT of the address change.<\/p>\n<h3>Cellular Options<\/h3>\n<p>Since fewer people are using landlines these days, the ADT system operates using the AT&T network. This ensures you\u2019ll get service wherever you are located.<\/p>\n<h3>Fall Detection<\/h3>\n<p>There may be times when you trip and fall and need immediate assistance. The fall detection can do just that. This allows an alert to be sent to the monitoring system when you are unable to press the button.<\/p>\n<h3>Temperature Monitoring<\/h3>\n<p>The base unit of the home system takes the temperature of the inside of the home. If it notices the temperature rises to an unsafe level for some reason, ADT will let you know so you can get in touch with family or caregivers.<\/p>\n<h3>GPS<\/h3>\n<p>When you have the mobile medical alert unit, emergency personnel will be able to locate you because ADT is able to pass over your GPS information to them.<\/p>\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n<p>ADT has become a trusted name when it comes to security and monitoring systems.
